Editing an existing account
In editing, you may need to add publications not captured or delete publications that Google Scholar has automatically and erroneously added to your profile. Follow the steps below:
- Log in to your Google Scholar account by following the first three steps given above
- Click on the plus Icon found at the top of the list of publications
- The first two options (Add article groups and add articles) will bring up a list of publications that Google Scholar suggests maybe yours
- Tick on your publications and save them to your profile by clicking on the tick ( ✔) sign at the top right corner of the dialog box
- The third option gives you an opportunity to add articles manually if they are not available in Google Scholar or Google Scholar has not associated them with you
- You can also configure article updates by selecting the fourth option. Click on “don’t automatically update my profile” to avoid Google Scholar erroneously adding articles to your profile
