MEDBOX is an open access database of health related publications. The idea of MEDBOX was conceived by the Medical Mission Institute in Wuerzburg during an UN-organised Health Cluster Meeting in Myanmar in 2008. Participants shared their challenges in accessing WHO guidelines and other related guidelines. In December 2015, two years after its launch, the MEDBOX has had over 1,800,000 views and over 1,400,000 downloads.
The database covers clinical guidelines, women and child health, public health, pharmacy and technologies.
