Kenyatta University emerged position two after University of Nairobi according to the January 2020 edition of Web of Universities Ranking also known as Webometrics. The ranking results are usually released in January and July of every year. The indicators measured are presence, visibility/impact, transparency and excellence. The University improved the most in presence where we moved up by more than 250 positions globally. Third, fourth and fifth positions were taken by Egerton University, Moi University, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) respectively. In Africa, Kenyatta University has been ranked position 23 out of more than 1500 African universities that featured in the ranking.
