Kenyatta University is the only Kenyan University that has featured in the second edition of the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings that were published on 23rd April 2020. The rankings are based on the impact of universities on selected United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The University was positioned within the 401-600 band. The performance was computed from data submitted on the following SDGs which the University excels in:
- SDG 17: Revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development
- SDG 4: Quality education
- SDG 5: Gender equality
- SDG 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries
Among the SDGS that the University was ranked on, the best performance was on the metric of SDG 4 which assesses metrics of quality education.
