The geospatial knowledge community in Kenyatta University is consolidating various data sets to develop solutions that can help to understand the impacts of COVID-19. The Hub project comprises a team of volunteers, including former and current students, staff members and technical support team from our partners under the leadership of Professor Simon Onywere who is the ESRI GIS ambassador for Africa and also ESRI GIS champion for Eastern Africa. The data consists of a COVID-19 dashboard and a map that illustrates the COVID-19 spread in each county in Kenya based on confirmed cases as reported by the Ministry of Health.
